At the 2010 Paris Motor Show, Jaguar introduced the C-X75, a hybrid concept with 778 hp electric motors powered by diesel-powered micro gas turbines.
Though initially planned for limited production, the project was shelved in 2012 due to economic constraints.
The C-X75 gained fame as the villain’s car in the 2015 James Bond film Spectre; Jaguar built several stunt models.
In 2024, Ian Callum’s design firm modified a surviving stunt car, making it road-legal.
Key changes included:
A supercharged 5.0-litre V8 engine and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, replacing the hybrid powertrain was installed.
Callum added a dynamic mode for sharper throttle and gear response.
He also added new electronics to enhance day-to-day drivability, plus other aerodynamic features to improve stability and handling.
Over 1,000 hours went into perfecting the body, now painted Willow Green with brushed aluminium and carbon fibre details.
Ian transformed the interior, replacing the stunt-car setup with premium dark green and cream Bridge of Weir leather upholstery.
Plus, it has a bespoke sound system and Apple CarPlay integration.
The cabin includes aircraft-style roof controls and a custom-machined steering wheel, which add sophistication.
This re-engineered C-X75 embodies both cinematic history and cutting-edge engineering.
No mass production is planned, but the new car showcases Ian’s craftsmanship and innovative spirit.
This transformation by Callum Design revives the C-X75 and celebrates its unique heritage, bridging the worlds of concept, cinema, and modern-day performance.
‘Owning a C-X75 is probably like having a pet tiger — exotic, powerful, and highly impractical, but who wouldn’t want one?’
