The Aristocrat’s Rebellious Sibling

‘The deBruyn Ferox V8 isn’t just a car—it’s a Dutch love letter to speed, wrapped in hand-beaten aluminium and sealed with the roar of a naturally aspirated V8.’

What happens when a genius leaves his creation only to return years later with something even better?

Enter the deBruyn Ferox V8—the handcrafted, Dutch-built supercar that proves Maarten de Bruyn never lost his touch.

Lighter, louder, and utterly intoxicating, it’s the spiritual successor to the Spyker C8.

But is it his greatest work yet? Read on to find out…”

In 1990, a lone visionary, Maarten deBruyn, embarks on a journey to create a truly Dutch sports car.

With nothing but ambition and engineering brilliance, he crafts the Spyker Silvestris V8, a hand-built prototype that lays the foundation for his future legacy.

In 1999, Spyker Rises from the Ashes, partnering with Victor Muller, deBruyn, co-founded Spyker Cars, resurrecting a historic marque.

The Spyker C8 Spyder debuts at the Birmingham Motor Show, turning heads and winning a Design Award.

The Mysterious Exit: In 2005, deBruyn left Spyker to explore powerboats, electric tricycles, and high-end vehicle concepts.

Spyker soldiers on but struggles.

In 2021, deBruyn announced deBruyn Cars, an exclusive new marque.

What’s he up to now?

2023 – The Ferox V8 Arrives: A 6.2-litre, 1050kg, hand-beaten aluminium masterpiece. A modern homage to his original vision—sharper, lighter, and faster.

If Spyker was the aristocrat, the Ferox V8 is its rebellious younger sibling—faster, louder, and with even more attitude.’
