Zurich has supplied an expensive reminder that rarity still turns heads—and opens wallets.
A special-edition Bugatti Veyron fetched CHF 4.505 million, while a Ferrari F40 achieved CHF 3.324 million at RM Sotheby’s September sale.
The Fisherley reading: exceptional cars can command exceptional money.
Whether that enthusiasm reaches the rest of the showroom is another question.
A rising tide is lovely. First, check which boats are actually floating.

♔ Fisherley perspective:
These results demonstrate appetite for particular cars, rather than establishing a universal price rise.

The catalogue supplies the romance.
