Business Class, With a Clutch

♔ Spyker C8 Preliator XXV Coupé

Some supercars resemble smartphones with tyres. Spyker prefers a gentleman’s aircraft that has misplaced its wings.

The C8 Preliator XXV Coupé combines handmade aluminium, rose-gold detailing and a manual gearbox with an advertised 800 horsepower.

Just 25 are planned.

It is gloriously theatrical: a machine for someone who finds a Ferrari slightly too obvious and sees changing gear as part of the entertainment.

♔ Full story

▪️Spyker has returned with something wonderfully unfashionable: a hypercar that expects its owner to participate.
The C8 Preliator XXV Coupé wears its aviation ancestry proudly.

▪️Think cockpit instruments, exquisite metalwork and sufficient theatre to make the garage feel like a private hangar.

▪️1914 — The aviation connection.

Spyker merged with the Dutch Aircraft Factory. Its aircraft heritage still informs the design, from air intakes to rear lights resembling fighter-jet afterburners.

▪️2000 — The modern revival. Victor Muller resurrected the marque, unveiling the C8 Spyder in Birmingham.

Distinctive craftsmanship became its calling card.

▪️August 2026 — Another chapter.

Unveiled at The Quail following fresh investment, the XXV pairs a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 with a six-speed manual.
Spyker advertises 800 horsepower and a top speed exceeding 217mph.
Your left leg has been formally recalled to duty.
▪️The detail that matters.
Spyker says each car takes roughly 2,100 hours to build. Even the cabin’s screw heads are aligned by hand.

Only 25 individually commissioned examples are planned.

♔ The appeal:

📍 ‘Craftsmanship you can admire at walking pace, with performance best explored considerably further from the clubhouse.’
