In 2018, Porsche first invested in Croatian EV pioneer Rimac, acquiring a 10% stake. By 2021, this had grown to 24%, signalling Porsche’s confidence in Rimac’s innovation.

In 2021, Porsche, Bugatti, and Rimac revealed their partnership. Bugatti’s owner, Volkswagen, transferred its shares in the French marque to the new entity, Bugatti-Rimac.

Rimac retains 55% control, with Porsche holding the remaining 45%, leveraging both companies’ strengths.

Bugatti-Rimac’s first creations include the legendary Bugatti Chiron and Rimac’s all-electric Nevera, blending heritage and cutting-edge EV technology.

All future Bugatti models will continue to be handcrafted in Molsheim, France, ensuring tradition meets innovation.

Mate Rimac, founder of Rimac, praised the collaboration, highlighting Bugatti’s century-long expertise and Rimac’s pioneering EV advancements.
