In collaboration with Bradley Walsh, BAE builds ten Vantares based upon the Aston Martin DB9, constructed between 2004 and 2016. The donor cars will only provide the roof and windows for the bodywork.
The power will be from the much-loved Aston Martin 5,935cc V12 engine. However, all ten of the prospective owners will be involved in the configuration of their ‘own’ motor car and options are not limited to cosmetic enhancements; there will be mechanical upgrades available. The DB9 is no sluggard in its own right, capable of 186 mph and reaching 60 mph in 4.7 seconds.
In July, the motor car was first publicly displayed at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
For some reason, I was surprised that Bradley Walsh was involved in this project; it transpires that he is an engineer by training and something of a visionary.
The original intention was to build one Vantare, but the interest from the Middle East and North America has encouraged BAE to make ten one-off motor cars.
The starting price of this beauty is £275,000
Every success Bradley.
