The RB17, designed by the legendary Adrian Newey, is Red Bull Advanced Technologies’ first fully developed hypercar.
The RB17 is powered by a naturally aspirated V10 engine producing more than 1,000 horsepower and a redline at 15,000 RPM.
Speed: Capable of exceeding 223mph and designed for ultimate track performance.
It has advanced ground-effect aerodynamics and active aero elements, generating almost 1.7 tonnes of downforce for exceptional handling and stability.
There will be only 50 cars produced, each priced at over £5 million.
All cars have been sold.
The tyres are bespoke and designed by Michelin to handle the immense forces generated by the car’s power and aerodynamics.
It is exclusively for track use (ps. Lanzante has confirmed it intends to make the RB17 hypercar road-legal).
The owners will have access to special track days, and Red Bull Racing’s simulators, and training will be provided to fully exploit the car’s capabilities and driver development.
The emphasis is on usage and not stored unused in collections.
Adrian chose the name RB17 to fill the gap in the Red Bull F1 car sequence. The RB16 competed for two years due to the pandemic, leading to the RB18.
The RB17 is the culmination of Adrian’s illustrious career. It amalgamates F1 technology and expertise into a limited-run, high-performance motor car.
The RB17 weighs under 900 kg, and it has a mid-mounted V10 Cosworth engine delivering 1,000 horsepower and an additional 200 hp electric motor.
It is expected to be quicker at specific circuits than a Formula One car (with no FIA or cost constraints).
Adrian said, ‘The RB17 pushes the boundaries of everything learned over his career, with performance levels that even challenge top F1 drivers.’
This hypercar embodies the ultimate fusion of F1 technology and luxurious performance, cementing Adrian Newey’s legacy in automotive history.
‘The RB17 is not just a car; it’s a caffeine-fuelled, turbocharged argument with physics’
