The Peaceful One

08 June 2023

At the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, I saw the impressive Koenigsegg Jesko dominating the viewing public.

Four years later, the first Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut is ready for its new home.

Jesko is named after Jesko von Koenigsegg, the father of company CEO Christian von Koenigsegg.

The Jesko is the replacement for the Koenigsegg Agera RS, powered by a twin-turbo 5.1 Litre V8, 0–62mph takes around 2.5 seconds, and the top speed in this Absolut version is in excess of 310mph.

Koenigsegg has committed its resources to the Jesko’s performance as it is conceivably the most capable track-focused car made for the road.

Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut – according to Christian von Koenigsegg: “The name Absolut comes from the fact that this is the absolute fastest Koenigsegg we will ever make.

Costing a cool £2.5 million and a limited production of 125.

I understand that Jesko means the ‘Peaceful One’, hardly apt for a motor car that is far from peaceful.
