Hennessy has developed the Venom and Venom F5 hypercars that sold in minimal numbers. Now Hennessey wants to seriously branch out its road car development with three brand-new cars over the next ten years.
The first will be a fully electric hypercar that Hennessey is dubbing Project Deep Space.
Hennessy is planning to build the fastest four-seater motor car ever made; even more outrageous it is to have six wheels, each with an electric motor, producing 2,400hp.
Hennessey is not new to six-wheel vehicles; however, trucks, not cars, generally for other manufacturers, for example, the Ford F-150 Raptor.
While little factual information has is available several ‘teaser’ documents have appeared. One shows the aerial design of the motor car to be diamond shape; yes, you have read correctly, diamond shape, meaning the seats are also in a diamond plan.
The driver is in the centre seat position, and the other two seats are on both sides. Just behind the driver is what Hennessy calls a very important person’s seat or VVIP. The VVIP seat has a unique design that sets it apart from the other three seats and can be laid perfectly flat like a seat in the first-class cabin on an aeroplane.
One person will sit behind the steering wheel in the car’s centre. Two more people will sit behind and to the left and right of the driver.
The Hennessey Project Deep Space appears to be on track to enter production. The company is looking to start production by 2026, with an anticipated price of at least £2.21 million.
