A Lightning Bolt

A little-known Italian Hypercar manufacturer, Automobili Estrema, has ruffled a few feathers with the announcement of the Estrema Fulminea.

Automobili Estrema claims it will produce the first car in the world with a battery pack that uses both solid-state cells and ultra-capacitors in tandem.

The Estrema, driven by four electric motors producing 2,040hp, will exceed 62mph in 2.0 seconds and 200mph in less than 10 seconds.

It will have a range of over 325 miles.

It is priced at around £2million.

The company was founded in 2020 by Gianfranco Pizzuto, a former co-founder of Fisker Automotive.

CEO Gianfranco Pizzuto said only 61 Fulminea will be built over three years, 60 for the hypercar public and the last for him.

The Estrema Fulminea electric hypercar’s main competitors are the Lotus Evija, the Rimac Nevera, and the Pininfarina Battista.

Their symbol is the lightning bolt. Estrema Fulminea means extreme and ‘lightning fast’ in Italian.

The lightning bolt is a symbol of electricity, speed and clean energy.

I imagine handling this car is like trying to bottle a lightning bolt—wild, unpredictable, and incredibly thrilling!
