The Lightest Hybrid Hypercar

29 April 2022

A tiny Slovenian supercar maker emerged out of nowhere in 2012 with a 450-bhp coupe, the Tushek Renovatio T500.

Founded in 2008 by Aljoša Tushek, a Slovenian racing champion, the company retains a commitment to unique design language and creating the perfect balance of form and function for extraordinary performance.

Move forward seven years to 2019, and Tushek debuted a new product more than twice as powerful: the TS 900 H Apex at the Salon Privé in Woodstock, Oxfordshire.

The TS600 hit 60mph in 2.5 seconds, had a claimed top speed of 236mph, produced 900 hp, and had a removable hardtop and scissor doors; what could possibly go wrong? A pandemic arrived.

However, in 2022, Tushek reappeared at the 2022 Salon Privé held in Chelsea and started taking orders.

‘An advanced evolution of the cars previously seen and the lightest hybrid hypercar on the market, the Tushek TS900 Apex employs a new and patented electric drive system. The car possesses a power-to-weight ratio of one metric horsepower to one kilogram of mass (1:1). A landmark achievement, Tushek joins an elite handful of vaunted marques to have achieved such an engineering breakthrough.’

The world’s lightest hybrid hypercar has made a grand entrance.

As a byproduct, the patented technology has potential applications not car-related.
