In 2014, Joel Zimmerman, a Canadian electronic music producer better known as Deadmau5, did the unspeakable; he decided to personalise his Ferrari.
Personal taste is always subjective; however, it is a little more complex than that.
Mr Deadmaus5 produced a YouTube promotional video that featured a flying animated cat, christened Nyan Cat.
So far, so good.
Then Mr Maus’ decided he would have his Ferrari 458 ‘wrapped’ displaying Nyan Cat; additionally, and I think this may have been the straw that broke the prancing Horses back, he dared to cover the Ferrari badges with a leaping moggy.
Furthermore, he named his Ferrari, Purrari.
The management of Ferrari was not best pleased, having seen the Purrari parading in the Gumball 3000 extravaganza, so they issued a cease-and-desist order.
This resulted in Deadmaus having ‘his’ Purrari returned to its natural habitat as a Ferrari.
The moral of this story is that if you are a Flying Cat, you are no match for a Prancing Horse.
